Ending sexual violence is a complex social challenge that requires community-wide investment. Community Prevention Partnership Programs are supported by MNCASA through the Minnesota Office of Justice Programs to act in collaboration with others in their community, to:
- Develop an approach that addresses the specific risks or opportunities most prevalent in their community;
- Address policies, environmental changes, or changes in practices demonstrated to reduce risk or increase protective factors for sexual violence;
- Build capacity and strengthen the ability of applicants and their community-based partners to implement evidence-informed primary prevention strategies; and
- Change knowledge, skills, attitudes, opinions, motivation, and behavior.
