This role includes responding to South Metro area hospitals (Hastings and Eagan) to provide advocacy and support during forensic exams to victim/survivors who have experienced sexual/domestic violence. Hospital advocates sign up for a variety of on-call shifts (that could include evenings, weekends, overnights, holidays – this is a 24/7 service). The Minnesota-mandated 40-hour advocacy training is required prior to volunteering in this role. This training is provided by 360 Communities twice per year, but training provided by another program will be accepted.
