Sexual violence costs Minnesota eight billion dollars a year, and it is preventable.


Who attended? 

Participants included Community Shares MN, Microsoft, Safe Environments - Archdiocese of St Paul and Minneapolis, Target, United Way, youthrive:LIVE!, Allina Center for Innovation and Research, Search Institute, Humphrey Institute, The Women’s Foundation, The Minnesota Timberwolves, Cherish Our Children, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Sauer Foundation, Access Philanthropy, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, The Rochester Convention and Visitors Bureau, the National Child Protection Center, the Wilder Foundation among more than 100 others….

Invitations were sent to specific leaders in industry, government, media, faith and philanthropy, as well as an equal number of experts in sexual violence prevention. For the first time, issue experts met with “the unusual suspects” to design practical actions to prevent the losses caused by sexual violence.
