"One of the most courageous things you can do is identify yourself, know who you are, what you believe in and where you want to go."

Two people at customized trainingCustomized Training

SVJI specializes in delivering trainings and technical assistance that enhance the multidisciplinary collaborative response to sexual assault. Our trainings integrate adult learning principles, are interactive in design and ask participants to critically analyze the response to sexual assault. If you are interested in training and technical assistance, we begin by learning more about your goals and ideal outcomes. This dialogue guides our offerings and often leads to exploring new possibilities, vision, goals, processes and options.

Generally, our customized trainings and technical assistance activities fit into these categories:

  • Team Development and Sustainability
  • The 8-Step Protocol Development Cycle
  • Monitoring and Evaluating Change Efforts
  • Elements of an Effective Coordinated Response
  • Understanding Sexual Assault and the Lived Experience of Victims

As resources allow, we create training teams from multiple disciplines that will best achieve the training objectives and build the capacity of local teams and team leaders to advance their work.

Many of these topics can be customized to your team or audience for in-person or training
